Part of our call as YWAM Akron is encouraging and training up people in intercessory worship & prayer. God is calling His church to minister to Him and through Him in many ways. One of those ways is through day and night prayer and intercession. Therefore along with evangelism, teaching and training, we are committed to a on fire, solid core of intercession and worship in our YWAM Center and community. We believe that out of this we will see other ministries released, refreshed and established.

~IN THE BEGINNING...The AKRON WORSHIP GATHERING/House of Prayer style worship started over 10 years ago, as we were preparing to launch YWAM Akron. This was a community event where people gathered with us from area ministries and churches to worship together and agree in prayer for our city, neighborhoods, and the nations. It was "Open House" style worship; people would come and go as need be. We have seen many breakthroughs in both YWAM Akron and areas of the city since starting in this way. Prayer & worship effect EVERYTHING... There have been healings, freedom, and open doors into the high schools and university campuses, as well as many people receiving a fresh heart of prayer for our city and most importantly, greater intimacy with God.
